Weekly Cruise Ship Arrival and Departure Information |
 |
For over 10 years now COZUMELINSIDER has been your online source for the weekly Cozumel cruise ship schedule! You can probably find this information on other websites out there but "back in the day" when we started, no one was publishing a ship schedule for Cozumel online anyway. Featuring dock locations, ship name and arrival/departure times, our ship schedule is the most complete of any online today ~ so pass the word and post our link on your favorite travel chatboard!
We thank you!
Over the years Cozumel has grown to be one of the top cruise line destinations in the Caribbean. With 3 cruise ship piers and 1 freight pier as well as 1 smaller pier which serves the Playa del Carmen people ferries, Cozumel plays host daily to thousands of cruise ship day visitors looking for a glimpse of paradise. During the high season months of November to April, Cozumel plays host to 20 - 30 cruise ships WEEKLY that bring 70,000 - 80,000 visitors. These numbers coupled with such a small window of time in which to enjoy Cozumel, it is imperative that crusie ship guests try to plan ahead and map out their day in order to see/do the most possible in the precious few hours they have here on the island.
Efficient use of time and money in any Port of Call begins with getting oriented, understanding transportation options and planning a travel or activity route that avoids "doubling back" when moving around. Typically the Passenger Itinerary document which is issued by the Cruise Line will indicate which pier will be used in each Port of Call for disembarkation. Use this as the starting point for mapping out a great adventure in Cozumel in order to get the most out of your vacation day on the island!
This is the BEST Cozumel map there is because WE help make it!

Downtown Area Piers
San Miguel Pier
Cozumel's oldest pier and is now home to the ferries that transport passengers back and forth between Playa del Carmen and the island. Often times, if cruise ships are tendering passengers in due to lack of space at a ship pier, the San Miguel Pier is the tender point.
Located in the midst of central downtown plaza area
Taxis are always available here for transport anywhere on the island
Easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and bars
Passenger ferry transports to the mainland for those wanting to visit for shopping, etc.
Ferry vessel docks in PLAYA DEL CARMEN for disembarkation
Punta Langosta Pier
This pier can disembark 3 ships at her side simultaneously as well as play host to visiting marine vessels such as US Coast Guard Cutters and large private yachts.
Located at the southern end of the downtown area
Taxis are plentiful here for transport anywhere on the island
Easy walking distance to central downtown shopping, restaurants and bars
Skybridge access to Punta Langosta Mall just across the street
Southern Area Piers
SSA /TMM International Pier
The first cruise ship pier constructed in Cozumel and has recently been expanded to accommodate up to 4 ships simultaneously.
5 - 10 minute taxi ride north to downtown area shopping, restaurants, bars
5 - 15 minute taxi ride south to beaches, beach clubs inside the marine park
Taxis always available for transport anywhere on the island
Multitude of shops and restaurants inside the pier area itself
TransCaribe Frieght Ferry Dock
For decades the freight ferry pier was located in between the SSA/TMM International Pier and Puerta Maya although most people never noticed or mentioned it since its length and size didn't compare to the nearby cruise ship piers.
But in 2012 a new freight ferry pier and staging area were completed next to the lighthouse that sits between downtown and the 2 southern cruise ship piers. The relocation of this pier for freight and vehicle transport alleviated alot of traffic congestion at the southern piers.
5 - 10 minute taxi ride north to downtown area shopping, restaurants, bars
5 - 15 minute taxi ride south to beaches, beach clubs inside the marine park
Transports large commercial cargo trucks bringing merchandise and supplies to the island from the mainland
Transports passenger vehicles for those wanting to visit the mainland via car for shopping, etc.
Ferry vessel docks in CALICA for disembarkation

Puerta Maya Pier
The second cruise ship pier constructed in Cozumel and was completely destroyed by hurricanes in 2005. Reopened in Fall 2008 , this pier can accommodate 2 ships currently but has applied for construction permits to extend the pier so as to receive up to 4 ships simultaneously.
5 - 10 minute taxi ride north to downtown area shopping, restaurants, bars
5 - 15 minute taxi ride south to beaches, beach clubs inside the marine park
Taxis readily available for transport anywhere on the island
Multitude of shops and restaurants inside the pier area itself
