A Personal Note from Sherri "Welcome to 2024 !!"
Happy New Year everyone! Gathering with friends and family during the holidays and sharing so many good times fills our hearts with love that sometimes is taken for granted. Nothing is a "given" in life so bask in all that love, soak it in and then try to share it with others throughout the year. I sincerely hope that 2024 will bring us all more peace and joy in our lives. So as we start this new year with great hope, be kind, be grateful and be compassionate ~ to others, to animals, to our planet. These are all we really have in this life! I wish nothing but the best for each of you in 2024!!
JANUARY 2024 UPDATE: Well I personally didn't have the greatest beginning to 2024 since the day I was set to return to Cozumel from the holidays, I ended up in the ER with one thing leading to another and culminating with an emergency surgical procedure. I'll spare the details of course but it was my first personal hospital experience since being 6 years old so I came away from it a changed person! Changed in that I have a newly invigorated respect for 1) our healthcare professionals and medical system in the US 2) our health being of supreme importance ~ without it, things are much more difficult! I'm on the recovery road now and should have no lasting effects from my medical incident but it's been a long while since I felt so vulnerable and unable to "fix" something for myself. I'm grateful for the care I received from so many extremely competent doctors and nurses. I hope the rest of the year is uneventful for me!!
FEBRUARY 2024 UPDATE: Celebrating its 150th Anniversary this year, Cozumel Carnaval is upon us now! Pre-Carnaval events got underway in January as I was in recovery mode and in a few days Carnaval Week will kick off with the Coronation of all the Royal Court for 2024. More later as the festivities end but meanwhile, try to get on down here and enjoy some of this very special island event!

What a great Experience!!! We booked our excursions through this website with a slight bit of apprehension. We figured it would be safer to book through our cruise ship since this was our first time going to Cozumel. Boy am I so thankful we didn't. Our cruise ship (which we thoroughly enjoyed) had many excursions organized with tons of people in each excursion. By booking through INSIDER we were definitely given smaller groups to be with. We did the Atlantis Submarine excursion and we saved almost 100 dollars right there!!! We also booked a Resort Scuba with Eagle Ray Divers. We had 1-on-1 attention with Antonio (the owner), our own boat to go out on, and got personalized attention with the lesson/dive. I know if we had booked on the cruise ship there probably would've been many other people ... Also, we originally booked a car rental for that Saturday morning. Jacqueline @ Cozumel Insider, called us at home prior to our cruise to inform us of some minor scheduling changes. She then suggested that the rental car may not be neccessary due to our number of excursions and our limited time. Due to her advice we cancelled our car rental which was the wise thing to do. This shows that this company has a lot of integrity and is not out there just to make a buck on the unsuspecting tourist. Next year we will definitely book through Cozumel Insider, we will recommend this company to all our friends, and we plan on booking with Antonio for more scuba next time!!!! My wife and I are so pleased to have discovered your site. We fell in love with Cozumel the first time we visited. Our plans are to retire in Cozumel, your site will help us to grow in our knowledge of the island and hopefully begin our journey of protecting the islands unique heritage. Thank you for your hard work, Nathan & Marcy Havner ~ Cheyenne Wyoming USA

Hi Sherri, Fantastic time on Thursday night with the Sea Turtle Release with FP&M. We were very lucky. We dug up a nest but unfortunately the eggs were not quite ready, but the next nest had a few stragglers that needed to be released so my daughter had a chance to send one turtle off to sea. We also watched a huge green turtle make a hole, lay her eggs, cover her eggs and crawl back to see. It was a fantastic experience under the full moon with the cool breeze blowing off the ocean. We will never forget it. Thanks again, S. Bullard (July 2016) ~ Ontario Canada

My husband and I lived in Cozumel for just over 6 months and completly LOVED it! We spent most of our time on the other side of the Island where it is just a completely different world. I highly recommend Cozumel to anyone travelling to the Mayan Riviera. I know so many people who go to Cancun, but have never been to Cozumel even though it is only about 40 minutes away! Take advantage of this beautiful Island!!! A. McIntosh ~ Toronto, Canada
