A Personal Note from Sherri "A Beautiful Summer!"
Sherri Davis - Owner/Operator CozumelInsiderWell our Spring Cleaning efforts were huge this year and yielded several very successful garage sales at IslaMar Villas. All the drama of a few years back put me very far behind on getting rid of stuff in my closets and bodegas and staying organized in my office. But thanks to all the wonderful, enthusiastic staff on board with us now, I was able to dedicate a lot of time and focus to cleaning and purging. I’m not at all finished but at least I got a “first pass” done in all categories of purging so as to create some “elbow room” in the storage areas so we can get better organized for the season to come.

It’s been a beautiful summer on the island with very little rain thus far in the season but we’re just now headed into the peak of the rainy months so I’m sure we’ll have our share of precipitation here soon. As school is about to get underway again, it’s a great time to consider a quick weekend getaway to the island! Think about it and look for airfare specials or cruise line discounts because being here on the island during low season means far fewer people roaming around and at times ~ it actually seems dead and deserted here! So come on down and help liven things up for us as we await the arrival of high season here in just a few months! We’ll be watching for you!

It is very cold here, it snowed last night. Welcome home to us right?! Just wanted to send an email thanking you for making our experience the best ever in sunny Cozumel. We wanted to let you know that the day we spent at your PalMar Beach Club we had your homemade tamales, (which are my favorite, by the way!) and they were excellent. Also we think that you have very good employees, Juan (there at the beach club/your house) we especially appreciated him, he treated us very well and we just wanted you to know that. Thanks again for the ride to the ferry, we made the 10:00! Also we were very thankful for your advice to stay there in Playa. We were able to get a room and just enjoy our last day on the beach which is what I really wanted. We were within walking distance from the bus that took us to the airport the next morning so it was all very convenient. You were very helpful and we will definately recommend your villas to anyone going there in the future. K & J Gilbert ~ Unknown

I am very happy that Josefina was my teacher. She tailored my Spanish classes specifically to my needs and to my level of knowledge. She made the lessons fun and informative and I have been able to begin speaking and understanding simple conversation after only 3 classes! Leah Rensfelt ~ Canada

A big thanks to COZUMELINSIDER for all your help booking my two trips! The Eagle Ray 3 reef snorkel was fantastic! It was a small group tour of 8 people with very very great personal service. I highly recommend this tour to all. My other tour was a tour of a lifetime, the Whale shark tour with Gamma Experience It was really something being in the water with a 50-60 foot whale shark! A couple restaurants I highly recommend are La lobsteria and especially Tony Romes. I highly recommend Cozumelinsider to all in booking tours as they picked great small tour groups for me! My family and I have returned to Cozumel many times - it's a favorite destination and we have watched it change over the past 20 years. The Cozumel Insider is a great publication - it's a wonderful way to keep up with the news about one of our favorite islands. We are preparing to visit again this August and the Insider has shown us some different activities to try, as well as helped to bring us up to date with local political and ecological happenings. We're delighted to see the interest in wildlife conservation throughout the area. Keep up the good work on this terrific site. D. McClean ~ unknown
