A Personal Note from Sherri "Hot Hot Hot!!"
Sherri Davis - Owner/Operator CozumelInsiderSummer has come now to the island in full force and wow ~ is it ever hot down here! It’s that time of year when changing clothes 3 – 4 times daily is a must and even the most hard core barefoot fan finds that flip flops are a necessity to walk across the sand or a street.

And there is one other very important thing you should remember about summertime here: it’s when our chili peppers are the hottest! The table salsas are typically made the same way year-round so a salsa you may have tasted and slathered on your food in December or January because it was mild and flavorful can become a painful, liquid fire used sparingly by July.

So for those of you visiting Cozumel this summer, be prepared for hot sun, sand and salsa!

And here’s my best summer tip for you: ALWAYS have an ice cold Mexican cerveza in your hand while here. You can sip it to cool off, pour it on your burnt feet if you forget your flip flops or it can be chugged to peel away the “afterburn” of an excellent habanero salsa! Turns out beer is pretty handy stuff around here this time of year!

Just returned from Cozumel where we participated in the FP&M Turtle Salvation program and it was the highlight of our trip. Our guides picked us up at our hotel right on time. They were very nice and one spoke fantastic English. Being able to participate in the extraction of newly hatched baby sea turtles from their nests and then watching them scurry into the ocean was so amazing. There were 4 nests hatching that evening so we were interacting with baby turtles for several hours. Those little turtles are SO adorable and so VERY determined to get to the water. This activity exceeded our expectations. I would recommend it to anyone who loves nature and wants to help this endangered species. It is awesome that cozumelinsider.com donates its resources to handle the bookings for this activity to help raise funds for this great cause. Thanks for an awesome experience! T. Daily ~ Arizona

I just wanted to let you know that the private charter van service was outstanding. Thanks so much to you and your staff for arranging for the beverages on board and the driver was great. We will be visiting Cozumel again will always be utilizing yours and Uniper's assistance. R. Lee Family ~ Colorado

Just wanted to thank COZUMELINSIDER for getting us booked for our activities while we were in Cozumel. The dolphin swim was fantastic! I'd do it again in a minute. We didn't get to do the SNUBA diving ..... we ended up doing the Helmet dive instead for the same price. We plan on visiting Cozumel again possibly next year and will be contacting you to book some excursions prior to our vacation. We saved a significant amount of money booking the excursions through COZUMELINSIDER instead of the cruise line. Thanks again! S.Forgette and G Wichtowski ~ Not Given

We just got back from Cozumel and the best thing we did was the Sea Turtle Release with FP&M. They were very educational and not just about the turtles. We were so excited to be able to hold the babies and set them free. Watching them bob their heads out of the water to breathe was quite a sight! Digging for them was enchanting, like finding buried treasure! Thanks to COZUMELINSIDER for helping us make this happen! Karen E. ~ Arroyo Grande, CA USA

Hello my name is Brent C. and I did the Turtle Observation & Release on June 27th. I can honestly not put into words how great and breathtaking the whole experience was! it has always been a dream of mine to watch turtles nest up close and personal but you guys topped that dream and did even better! I almost cried tears of joy when i found out I got to get up close and help remove the turtle eggs as she was laying them! I plan on becoming a marine biologist one day and this whole experience has pushed me farther into my passion for marine biology! I can not say thank you enough! Also cant forget the helpful crew of young men and women that helped us along the night and where ever so kind! Here is a picture of the green sea turtle I named April after she had laid her eggs! Thanks and God Bless Brent C ~ USA
