Stay (01/22/2013) - Our stay in #3 Villa was very nice. So great to feel heat in January. Being from Richmond, Maine with temps in the zero’s or below, the heat is how do you say, “muy bueno”! Being here with our family was the icing on the “60th Birthday Cake”! Zuri is a gem and kept the villa in tip-top shape. So pleasant to come back to a clean bed, fresh towels in the banyo. Really beautiful Playa’s and crystal clear water. The neighborhood welcome was homey. All in all a great, wonderful vacation. Tim & Gloria M. ~ Richmond, MA

(01/02/2016) - IslaMar is a great place set back from the beachfront and big resorts. It is living in Mexico, if you get my drift. IslaMar is back perhaps 6 or 7 blocks from the resorts. We wanted something different this time. I loved being back with the local vibe. There are restaurants with amazing food back here. You walk to them. We walked at night through the narrow streets and visited with the friendly people. We felt safe. I'm not telling you what to do, I'm just telling you what we did. We also rented a small car and went to the beach every day. We found our dollars went a long ways in the grocery store. No place is too far away on Cozumel. Christmas Night we wandered into a park with an amphitheater. There was a clown performing. There were perhaps 200 locals there and we saw one other gringo. I loved being there and watching these beautiful people. They all seemed glad to see us. Is it for everybody? Probly not. There is a nice little clean pool, but nobody is going to bring you a margarita. If you have a hankering for fries at midnight, not going to happen. If you are set on a resort, this is not your place. But If you want to stay in a beautiful affordable villa with super cleaning and other services and run by great folks in the middle of town, you should try this. I love it and can't wait to go back! R. & C. Coburn ~ Terry, MT USA

(01/04/2015) - Dear Sherri and Mauricio. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality, especially they use of your beautiful PalMar beach club! This is our 4th visit to Cozumel and realize that from this trip on, we will only stay at IslaMar. The rooms and grounds are lovely. The staff, Nidia especially, are all so helpful. It is a perfect location to walk to so many of the wonderful places you suggested. See you next year. Good luck in all your ventures – Thank you! J. & D. Moorhead ~ Hammonton, NJ USA

Stay (03/06/2012) - Our first time at IslaMar and we enjoyed it very much! Loved having a home base that felt like home and we loved the fact that we were away from the cruise ship crowds. Midtown people and places to eat were wonderful. Our new favorite is Pescada Carllito’s. Great food at a great price. Please feel free to add a few new chaise lounges to the pool area as we are hoping to be back soon and with enough sunny days to enjoy the pool more. Thank you for the use of the cooler as we had a nice picnic outside of Playa Bonita. Gracias and adios – for now! Scott & Kathy R. ~ West, TX

(04/16/2015) - This is our second stay at IslaMar and once again it was wonderful. Nidia and Andrea were so friendly. Juan made us great drinks at PalMar Beach Club! Highly recommend Sherri’s beach club for relaxation to the max! Places to go: Punta Sur (get there early); Palancar Beach; Rolandi (especially for sunset); El Casa Del Mojito for Cuban food, drinks and maximum hospitality; Diego’s for their breakfast burrito; and Buccanos for high end food and romantic setting. Only regrets are that we can’t stay longer and that we still haven’t met Mauricio yet! We will be back for sure, as soonas we can! Cozumel Life Rules! P.S. – Rentadora ISiS for great car rental! R. Rossi & K. Kirshner ~ Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
