Alternatives to Scuba & Snorkeling |
|
Tired of just simple snorkeling and want to get closer to the action? Take a look at some of these alternatives -
Snuba is a shallow-water diving system developed to bridge the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving. There is no safer, easier or more enjoyable way to experience the thrill and wonder of breathing underwater. No heavy, bulky or complicated diving equipment is used and no intensive training or certification is required. The truth is that if you are healthy and can breathe, you meet the requirements to Snuba! Divers breathe using a standard diving regulator which is connected by a 20-foot air line to a tank that floats at the surface in a specially designed raft. As you move underwater, the raft follows you, allowing you to dive to a maximum depth of 20 feet. Because there is no complicated, heavy diving gear involved, you are in full control, free to explore the incredible reefs – relaxed and hassle free.
Sea Trek Helmet Diving is the easiest and most comfortable way to explore underwater. It's as simple as walking and breathing. A space age helmet sits comfortably on the your shoulders while a continuous flow of air provides breathing with ease. Your hair doesn't get wet and you can even wear prescription glasses. The maximum depth is approximately 20 feet. A sea Trek guide wears a helmet while and divers in scuba gear remain with the group.
The 48 passenger Atlantis XII Submarine offers you a chance to experience why Cozumel remains one of the top dive destinations in the world. Diving to depths of up to 100 feet, Atlantis brings you up close and personal with Cozumel's top attraction, Chankanaab, an exciting part of the second largest reef in the world. |
This was by far THE most fun we have had on an excursion! The snuba experience was one in a million! These folks know how to treat you right! We had a blast on the boat! Jose, Juan, Eduardo and one more guy...can't think of his name... our hats off to you for making our day a blast! Watch out for those Tequila shots!! Thanks for a fantastic memory! We took advantage of the Sea Trek Helmet Dive and it was outstanding! It is a short 5 minute walk from our ship "Ectasy" and we saved $30.00 per person by using Cozumel Insider over the price offered on Carnival. I would recommend this activity to other cruisers. Thank you INSIDER! Rod and Laura ~ Albuquerque/NM/USA

Thanks so much for the photos of our snuba experience. What a great time. You and the crew were wonderful. Thank you for everything. You explained everything and answered all our questions and concerns, and an awesome time was had by all. You were all very knowledgable in all aspects of our snuba experience. We had a great time and are still talking about it! Thanks again. D. Fellin ~ Waupun, WI

Hey, we got the pictures and they look great. We all had a lot of fun and it was a highlight of our vacation. All of us have stated to take some scubadiving lessons because we loved it so much. Thanks for everything and keep up the good work. We told all of our friends about it and hopefully they have a chance to try it as well. We will definity be posting a forum and checking out your website. Sorry about the slow reply. Thanks again. Kurtis, Dave & Bryan ~ Farmington, MA

Israel was awesome! As first time visitors to Cozumel, he provided a safe, informative and very fun introduction to the beautiful island. The snorkeling was incredible and proved the perfect primer as none of us had snorkeled in the ocean, and two of us do not swim! Guiding us the whole way and customizing the tour around our interests, Israel made us feel like VIPs. Thanks for making our day! R. Saenz - February 2017 ~ Allen, TX USA
