Alternatives to Scuba & Snorkeling |
|
Tired of just simple snorkeling and want to get closer to the action? Take a look at some of these alternatives -
Snuba is a shallow-water diving system developed to bridge the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving. There is no safer, easier or more enjoyable way to experience the thrill and wonder of breathing underwater. No heavy, bulky or complicated diving equipment is used and no intensive training or certification is required. The truth is that if you are healthy and can breathe, you meet the requirements to Snuba! Divers breathe using a standard diving regulator which is connected by a 20-foot air line to a tank that floats at the surface in a specially designed raft. As you move underwater, the raft follows you, allowing you to dive to a maximum depth of 20 feet. Because there is no complicated, heavy diving gear involved, you are in full control, free to explore the incredible reefs – relaxed and hassle free.
Sea Trek Helmet Diving is the easiest and most comfortable way to explore underwater. It's as simple as walking and breathing. A space age helmet sits comfortably on the your shoulders while a continuous flow of air provides breathing with ease. Your hair doesn't get wet and you can even wear prescription glasses. The maximum depth is approximately 20 feet. A sea Trek guide wears a helmet while and divers in scuba gear remain with the group.
The 48 passenger Atlantis XII Submarine offers you a chance to experience why Cozumel remains one of the top dive destinations in the world. Diving to depths of up to 100 feet, Atlantis brings you up close and personal with Cozumel's top attraction, Chankanaab, an exciting part of the second largest reef in the world. |
Israel was awesome! As first time visitors to Cozumel, he provided a safe, informative and very fun introduction to the beautiful island. The snorkeling was incredible and proved the perfect primer as none of us had snorkeled in the ocean, and two of us do not swim! Guiding us the whole way and customizing the tour around our interests, Israel made us feel like VIPs. Thanks for making our day! R. Saenz - February 2017 ~ Allen, TX USA

Ladies --- I just wanted to thank you so much for helping us with the island tour and the sea trek helment diving ------- both were awesome!
Our tour guide was Humberto ----- great guy --- he sang for us !!!!!!!! He has been to Nashville, TN before ---- he was so knowledgable and so nice. We ran a little late for the sea trek ---- but they took us right in. They too were great -- that was one of the coolest water activities we have ever done. Yes --- we bought the video and pictures ------ we just loved it. Did not have time to snorkel with Mario -- we feard we'd miss the ship ----- but we did not --- taxi took us quickly to the ship as soon as the sea trek was over. I don't know a lot of travelers -- but I would recommend anybody using Yaxkin as a tour company --- as well as the guys at Sea Trek. You ladies were great ---- Thanks again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are visiting the Cozumel area you have to go on a Mayan Paradise Tour. Our Snuba and snorkelling adventure was the highlight of our week in Cozumel. We saw more fish and beautiful coral then we saw on our visit to the Great Barrier Reef. Our guides were terrific - very thorough, fun and energetic. Our trip back to the dock was a blast. We recommend this dventure to anyone vacationing the Cozumel area. Bryan and Jennifer ~ Ontario Canada

Wanted to report back about our excursions you booked for us. We loved the submarine tour. Being able to go down 100' was incredibly exciting! We saw a turtle and a few large groupers. The reefs were really beautiful, so glad we did this. Jennifer Lansing ~ Palo Verdes Estate, California

Hey, we got the pictures and they look great. We all had a lot of fun and it was a highlight of our vacation. All of us have stated to take some scubadiving lessons because we loved it so much. Thanks for everything and keep up the good work. We told all of our friends about it and hopefully they have a chance to try it as well. We will definity be posting a forum and checking out your website. Sorry about the slow reply. Thanks again. Kurtis, Dave & Bryan ~ Farmington, MA
