This is the most commonly published street map of Cozumel today but
it is far from completely accurate. Be aware that due to recent growth,
the city streets now go all the way back to 150 Avenida.
- Calles (streets) run east/west or perpendicular to the sea. If
you are driving east/west you must stop at every block corner.
- The Avenidas (Avenues) run north/south beginning at the beachfront
and run parallel to the sea. Avenidas are numbered in increments
of 5 all the way up to 150 now. If you are driving north/south, in
theory, you have the right of way and don't have to stop at each
block corner.
Beware . there are exceptions to these guidelines but this gives an overview
of the initial city plan.
- The plaza and Juarez Street are considered
the center of town.
- Avenidas and Calles north of these will be referred to as Norte and
have even numbers of 2, 4, 6, etc.
- Avenidas and Calles south of these will be referred to as Sur and have
odd numbers of 1, 3, 5, etc.

Hello, I want to let you know that I visit your website all the time! I love it, so much information. I used you as a resource when I came to Cozumel for the first time about 2 years ago. Although my soon-to-be wife was there before, I needed to do some of my own homework. As for her, she and I will be getting married on June 22 at Hotel Cozumel and we are both really excited about it. Just wanted to thank COZUMELINSIDER for getting us booked for our activities while we were in Cozumel. The dolphin swim was fantastic! I'd do it again in a minute. We didn't get to do the SNUBA diving ..... we ended up doing the Helmet dive instead for the same price. We plan on visiting Cozumel again possibly next year and will be contacting you to book some excursions prior to our vacation. Less than an hour ago, I booked a dolphin swim package through your website. You have already confirmed my order with exactly what we wanted! I was really in a panic because when I tried to book directly through the Dolphin website, they said there was nothing available. We will be leaving tommorrow for 2 week stay at Islamar villas and diving with Dive Paradise. All of this along with a car rental was booked through you guys. Not only did you have a professional attitude through all the e-mails in booking the original dates but at the last minute I extended my stay. You and your staff were especially kind through all of this. You got the car extended and went way out of your way to make sure everything was taken care of, not to mention letting me borrow your personal roller bag to go to the market. You extended everything with ease and you are a great asset to Cozumel and Mexico. This will be my 12 th trip and I will never work with anyone else from now on. Thank you Sherri. Jack J.
