(10/14/2014) - We stayed for four (4) days and could not have had a better time at IslaMar and Cozumel. Excellent villa with great location. Sherri and Zuri, you are both so kind and welcoming and made us feel right at home. Love the places to eat and snorkel. Thank you both! We will be back soon… XOXO T. Lin & A. Stay (03/30/2012) - A wonderful, wonderful three (3) months here! God willing, we will come again! It is always great to see Zuri, she is like our own family in Cozumel. She takes wonderful care of us. We love her jokes and she is always so happy! Our love. Art & Pam B. ~ Portland, OR

(01/02/2016) - IslaMar is a great place set back from the beachfront and big resorts. It is living in Mexico, if you get my drift. IslaMar is back perhaps 6 or 7 blocks from the resorts. We wanted something different this time. I loved being back with the local vibe. There are restaurants with amazing food back here. You walk to them. We walked at night through the narrow streets and visited with the friendly people. We felt safe. I'm not telling you what to do, I'm just telling you what we did. We also rented a small car and went to the beach every day. We found our dollars went a long ways in the grocery store. No place is too far away on Cozumel. Christmas Night we wandered into a park with an amphitheater. There was a clown performing. There were perhaps 200 locals there and we saw one other gringo. I loved being there and watching these beautiful people. They all seemed glad to see us. Is it for everybody? Probly not. There is a nice little clean pool, but nobody is going to bring you a margarita. If you have a hankering for fries at midnight, not going to happen. If you are set on a resort, this is not your place. But If you want to stay in a beautiful affordable villa with super cleaning and other services and run by great folks in the middle of town, you should try this. I love it and can't wait to go back! Stupendous time! Absolutely perfect experience and a great incentive to become an “expat” ourselves. See you soon! P.S. – Do you have any real estate tips? By the way, Sissy and YB made this week wonderful. We missed our 4 cat children, so having them to visit us… or visit our ham and cheese scraps… was a gift! Stacy & David G. ~ Augusta, ME

(01/04/2015) - Dear Sherri and Mauricio. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality, especially they use of your beautiful PalMar beach club! This is our 4th visit to Cozumel and realize that from this trip on, we will only stay at IslaMar. The rooms and grounds are lovely. The staff, Nidia especially, are all so helpful. It is a perfect location to walk to so many of the wonderful places you suggested. See you next year. Good luck in all your ventures – Thank you! J. & D. Moorhead ~ Hammonton, NJ USA
