Stay (02/02/2012) - We loved our Casa IslaMar, loved the location, especially once we got our car. It was great to walk to the market, pick out a fish, have it fileted and cook it with all the wonderful fresh vegetables available here. All at a BIG savings over eating out. The screened windows, bottled water and cheerful help from Zuri are all nice additions! We will recommend IslaMar with enthusiasm. Travel Blog @ www.travelswithcjgeo.blogspot.com. Another great holiday at IslaMar and the island! As always it is hard to leave. Thanks to Sherri, Jacqueline and all the staff at IslaMar and Palamar Beach Club. Take care and see you next year! Blair & Cheryl S. ~ Lethbridge, Alberta Canada

Sherri, my boss wants you to take down your webcam! It seems it is preventing me from getting any work done! I just stare at it all day. haha I will be there in two weeks. It's been since March since we spent a week there and I'm going through withdrawals. I hope Mezcalitos has the 'ritas ready for me. Jennifer ~ Louisiana

(10/28/2015) I loved staying here. The purpose of my three-week trip was to improve my Spanish and learn about Mexican culture. This was the perfect place to do it. IslaMar is in a decidedly non-tourist part of town, which means you're far more likely to glimpse the heart and soul of Mexico here than you would be at a beach resort. You'll also save a lot of money on food and rent. I felt quite safe exploring the neighborhood and making the 10-minute walk downtown. If you don't feel like walking, you can hail a cab and ride practically anywhere you want to go in town for under $5.

The owner, Sherri, and her assistant Martin answered all my questions before and during my trip. The on-site staff were beyond friendly, sweet, and helpful with my every need. I asked for a Spanish tutor; they researched candidates and found me a great one. She improved my skills a lot, for very little money, and she was a joy to know. I hope she and I will be friends for life.

The property itself was comfortable and well maintained, with high-quality finishes. I was able to cook well in the kitchenette. The staff will wash, dry, and fold a huge bag of laundry for a small fee, so it's easy to stay here for longer time periods despite packing light.

IslaMar will be my first choice for all future trips to Cozumel. C. Dooley ~ Dallas, TX USA

(02/27/2016) - Hubby and I stayed at IslaMar for the Month of February (as we did last year) and are already missing it. Sherri and staff are awesome, very accommodating. We met some new friends and got in touch with others we had met over the few years. Love that we are away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area, but still within a good walk. Checked out a few new restaurants to add to our list and still lots more to try. C. & J. Wood ~ Saint Catharines, OB CAN
