PalMar Snorkel Beach Club & Patas y Alas Butterfly Sanctuary
Looking to avoid the mobs of the other big cruiser beaches and really relax on your next island visit? Then we invite you to join us and our staff at PalMar Snorkel Beach Club, located in the Dzul Ha Reef, for a nice, quiet and relaxing day in Cozumel. These days it seems like every beach club in Cozumel is so packed with tourists that visitors are often wanting and searching for a less crowded alternative. If you prefer a less chaotic and more personalized environment when visiting Cozumel, then our quiet and quaint PalMar Snorkel Beach Club will be the perfect spot for you and your group to come spend the day! We really are the "Best Kept Secret in Cozumel" that many taxis claim doesn't even exist!!!.
PalMar Snorkel Beach Club is located just a mile or so south of downtown San Miguel and is enclosed with walls, fences and gates on all sides. PalMar sits in front of a 10,000 square foot private beachside residence and provides a unique feeling of a more home-style experience. Inside our walls you will find a freshwater swimming pool (great for novice snorkelers to practice their snorkeling techniques) with jetted spa area, showers, rinse tanks, restrooms and lockers as well as snorkel equipment gear (mask, snorkel and fins) and vests for rent. Surrounding the pool and jetted spa (not heated) area is a large decked area with plenty of loungers, chairs and tables for your relaxation pleasure! The grounds inside feature both sunlit areas to soak up our "Caribbean Paradise" rays and also natural shady areas from the numerous trees for those needing to cool off from the sun..
You will also find our friendly and helpful staff ready to provide you and your group everything you need to make your stay at PalMar Snorkel Beach Club a wonderful experience. You will find a quaint snack bar area where you will be able to purchase tasty freshly made-to-order snacks (guacamole, pico de gallo, ceviche, quesadillas, etc.) and a nice selection of beverages (bottled water, soda, beer and a selection of tropical mixed drinks). Our staff is always more than happy to make you a tasty snack or whip up some liquid refreshment during your time here at PalMar Beach SNorkel Club!
PalMar's Beach and Ocean area is just a few steps outside our gates where you will see our beach area surrounded by a retaining wall filled with sand, palm trees, potted plants, loungers, tables and chairs for any guests that prefer a waterfront, beachside day in paradise There are no crazy jet skis buzzing around constantly nor massive water mountains to scale out front at PalMar Snorkel Beach Club. Instead, we invite you to enjoy a relaxing day lounging on our beach under our palm trees! If you want to snorkel and swim in our world famous Dzul Ha Reef, you will find an abundance of incredible coral reefs, colorful fish and marine life here at PalMar! The beach-entry is a few steps down from our beach area directly into the pristine waters of the Caribbean. Do not forget to bring your underwater camera to snap pics of your time underwater! Plus our dedicated staff will keep a watch out for you on the beach in order to keep the drinks and snacks coming as you need them!

(03/26/2019) - Great snorkeling. Beautiful water. Awesome service. Had snorkeling gear. Try both kinds of the salsa. The cab cost 4 of us $8 from the pier. The drivers don't want to take you there because of no kickback. I will go their again on the next cruise. Steve - Google Maps Review ~ USA
BEAUTIFUL PRIVATE BEACH CLUB - I am so thankful to have found this wonderful place! We disembarked a Carnival Cruise ship with about 1500 other people. They headed out on some high priced cruise sponsored excursion, and we headed out to our own private beach, pool, and snack bar...complete with extremely attentive staff! They made FRESH guacamole and pico right in front of us, and mixed up some wonderful frozen drinks as well. We snorkeled to our heart's contentment and watched as boat after boat brought their customers to snorkel on the same reef that we had private access to!! It was so wonderfully relaxing and soothing. I personally recommend that you wear a life vest when snorkeling as the current can be tiring. You can stay out a lot longer with the life vest on! Sherri, thanks so much for making your beautiful property so very affordable! We will be back with our hubbies next time! We look very forward to our next visit. S. Had a great experience at PalMar! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They pointed out the best place to enter the sea as it has a very rocky shore. Snorkeling was nice for Mexico. The location is the same as the snorkel tours. The tour boats drop people way off shore but they only stay about 30 minutes. At PalMar you have a nice, quiet beach with loungers and shade to enjoy all day. We didn't use the pool. It looked nice and the surrounding garden is very pretty. I would go there again! G. When we found PalMar on Google Maps, we were very skeptical but the communications were exceptional. You do have to reserve a spot as they require a reservation to limit overcrowding. We were there February, 12, 2018 as part of our Carnival Cruise on the Glory. My girlfriend and I LOVED it. I wasn't going to leave a review because I didn't want everyone learning about the "gem" we found, but PalMar deserves a great review.
We were greeted by friendly staff who were very helpful getting us set up. Really glad we found you. Love the fact that you have lockers, showers, life vests and there were no crowds. Also like the fact you require a reservation to limit overcrowding! We really felt safe there. The snorkeling was the best I've ever seen and I've been to Jamaica, Virgin Islands, Cayman. There is an area for snorkeling that is roped off for safety from boats yet I could get out deep enough to be blown away by the scenery. We saw Squid, Blow Fish, Flounder and lots of Sergeant Major fish. See my video below. The experience was great! We will be coming back! R. & C. Jarvis (February 2018) ~ Picton, Ontario CAN
Spent a wonderful day at the family owned resort. Great food, clean, safe, nice pool and you walk across the street to the beach. Great snorkeling and clean beach area. Good value and inexpensive Day excursion, taxi from port was $11.00 each way. A. Young - August 2015 ~ Boynton Beach, FL USA
