(Stay 01/04/2014) - We sincerely enjoyed our two (2) weeks in this private, charming, clean, comfortable+++ villa. We managed to really experience the vibe of the island all around because of our wonderful hostess Sherri! Always giving good sense tips and Zuri keeping the place running smoothly & clean – a smile goes a long way! We really appreciated sharing stories and meeting other awesome travelers. Love the gardens, pool and weather. Rachel, Trevor & Adelene B. ~ Brentwood Bay, BC, Canada

Staying at IslaMar gave us a wonderful insight into the culture and daily life of Cozumel. The sounds and smells of the neighborhood became familiar and comforting. We adored Zuri and wish that we could take her home with us. The efforts of the staff were extremely helpful in dealing with a “foreign environment” and were greatly appreciated. Cozumel has enriched our lives with a “memorable” experience! Gracias!!! Richard & Judy N. ~ Camino, CA

12/02/2014 - Thanks for the amazing stay Sherri. This place was just perfect for us! What a pleasant and fantastic experience racing IRONMAN COZUMEL & finishing first in my age group to win a slot to Kona Ironman in 2015. I hope to be back here soon to enjoy the island and what is has to offer. Thanks for keeping my husband stocked with beers. L. Rachetto & J. Coulter ~ Los Altos, CA USA

Hello, I will visit the island next weekend. I just want to thank you and your staff who make this website, because I´ve been checking a lot of websites, even those Trip Advisor, and yours has been much more useful to plan this trip. Specially because it has links to official websites from local beaches, tips about prices and ways to get somewhere. Good job! I´ll write again to tell you about the experience. C. Quijano (Feb. 2015) ~ Mexico

(01/02/2016) - IslaMar is a great place set back from the beachfront and big resorts. It is living in Mexico, if you get my drift. IslaMar is back perhaps 6 or 7 blocks from the resorts. We wanted something different this time. I loved being back with the local vibe. There are restaurants with amazing food back here. You walk to them. We walked at night through the narrow streets and visited with the friendly people. We felt safe. I'm not telling you what to do, I'm just telling you what we did. We also rented a small car and went to the beach every day. We found our dollars went a long ways in the grocery store. No place is too far away on Cozumel. Christmas Night we wandered into a park with an amphitheater. There was a clown performing. There were perhaps 200 locals there and we saw one other gringo. I loved being there and watching these beautiful people. They all seemed glad to see us. Is it for everybody? Probly not. There is a nice little clean pool, but nobody is going to bring you a margarita. If you have a hankering for fries at midnight, not going to happen. If you are set on a resort, this is not your place. But If you want to stay in a beautiful affordable villa with super cleaning and other services and run by great folks in the middle of town, you should try this. I love it and can't wait to go back!
