Cozumel is well known world wide for our snorkeling and there are many snorkeling beach clubs on both sides of the island. But without a doubt, one (1) of the island's most beautiful, ocean-side estates is Cozumel's PalMar Snorkel Beach Club where guests are invited to spend an unforgettable day inside their lush, tropical oasis beside the freshwater pool. What makes our experience special is we are small, quiet and peaceful. It is not a massive tourist beach with hundreds of guests. When you are ready for a change of scenery from the beach club area, just take a short stroll outside the fenced and gated estate area to their private PalMar beach where you can lounge on beach chairs or walk down into the stunning Caribbean waters and experience some of the best snorkeling available in the Dzul Ha Reef area!
The management and staff at PalMar Snorkel Beach Club in Cozumel hope you will visit and spend a relaxing and peaceful day at our beach club. Be it spent poolside basking in the warm rays of the sun or venturing over to the beach where you can discover the many underwater secrets of the Caribbean by stepping into the crystal-clear turquoise waters where you can literally spend hours gazing at the colorful corals, sponges and vast variety of fish and marine life! Directions to PalMar Snorkel Beach Club
By Taxi:
PalMar Snorkel Beach Club is located just south of ALL cruise ship piers between Presidente Intercontinental Cozumel Resort & Spa and Fiesta Americana Hotel - a very short 5-10 minute ride via taxi.
It will cost US $9.00 to $11.00 per four (4) persons via taxi.
Ask the taxi driver take you to the Dzul Ha Reef beach area.
TAXIs do not want you to know about Palmar because they do not receive taxi kickbacks for delivery of guests at this location. Prices are lower for guests at this beach club for this reason!
By Rental Car:
PalMar is located south of town and past all cruise ship piers.
On the NEW main highway there is an overhead sign pointing the way to the OLD highway.
The overhead sign says "Chankanaab, Dzul Ha and Fiesta Americana Hotels".
Exit the NEW main highway to the right just where this overhead sign is and get onto the OLD highway.
You will pass the Presidente Intercontinental Cozumel Resort & Spa and go another half mile or so to the Dzul Ha Reef beach area.
If you pass the condos on your left or the Fiesta Americana Hotel, you just missed us!
Once there, you will see a "YELLOW" sign that says "PALMAR SNORKEL BEACH CLUB ~ NOW OPEN!"
You can't miss it!! I hope to see you there! - Sherri
My wife, Lori, and I had a very relaxing day here at Palmar. Be sure to check to check out the Butterfly pavilion. T. & L. House - October 2017 ~ Castle Rock, CO USA
We chose PalMar to spend our day in Cozumel. It was fantastic because there were no crowds at all! We rented some snorkeling gear and had a great time. We're going on another cruise next March and have already decided to come back to PalMar. Your staff was terrific and they DID make the best guacamole we've ever had!! Thank you again for opening up your place. The Bailey's ~ Melbourne FL USA

When we found PalMar on Google Maps, we were very skeptical but the communications were exceptional. You do have to reserve a spot as they require a reservation to limit overcrowding. We were there February, 12, 2018 as part of our Carnival Cruise on the Glory. My girlfriend and I LOVED it. I wasn't going to leave a review because I didn't want everyone learning about the "gem" we found, but PalMar deserves a great review.
We were greeted by friendly staff who were very helpful getting us set up. Really glad we found you. Love the fact that you have lockers, showers, life vests and there were no crowds. Also like the fact you require a reservation to limit overcrowding! We really felt safe there. The snorkeling was the best I've ever seen and I've been to Jamaica, Virgin Islands, Cayman. There is an area for snorkeling that is roped off for safety from boats yet I could get out deep enough to be blown away by the scenery. We saw Squid, Blow Fish, Flounder and lots of Sergeant Major fish. See my video below. The experience was great! We will be coming back! R. & C. Jarvis (February 2018) ~ Picton, Ontario CAN
(03/06/2019) - Exactly as described! Smaller than going to a huge beach club. We arrived around 9:20am from PDC), checked in with their staff (2 hardworking guys) & headed across the street to stake out our location for the day. Awesome lounge chairs (they provide towels that wrap around the chairs) & snorkeling is right there. We snorkeled & rested under a beautiful palm tree reading, watching others snorkel (but not crowded). We ordered lunch (very yummy) & they delivered it right to our lounge chairs! The day we were there there were 3-4 other couples at PalMar, that was it! The staff was very friendly, helpful, called a taxi for us when it was time to head back to the ferry. We brought our own snorkels & rented their flippers & life jackets (tthey have snorkel rentals as well). They had nice changing area/restroom & locker was plenty big to hold our things. This was located adjacent to the pool on the property; but not a long distance at all to the beach, maybe 75 ft? Excellent snorkeling, saw all kinds of fish & coral. I would recommend a life jacket just because it's a big area to cover. In fact, it's one area where the snorkeling boats bring tourists out (but far from us) that would be there for 15 minutes & move on. Lunch - $10 US per person (3 large chicken tacos with guacamole & chips). When you make the reservation you are given specific instructions (which we followed) as to what to tell the taxi driver & we didn't have any trouble with the taxi taking us there. L. & J.
