After meeting "Israel" (he has been providing tours and is very popular here in Cozumel) at your hotel or ship pier, participants will begin their island jeep tour along the western coast of Cozumel and will stop at a prime spot to allow guests to snorkel in the beautiful crystal clear Caribbean waters. Unlike other island jeep tours that snorkel on the other side of the island, this island tour's snorkeling is done on the calm, west side area of the island where all of the island's best dive and snorkel sites are located in and around the National Marine Park and Dzul Ha reef system. The visibility is excellent and the variety of marine life is simply outstanding. This is a guided tour in the water where complete snorkel equipment is provided, including snorkel vests to ensure your safety at all times. Tour photographers will also be taking underwater photos that will be available to view and purchase after the Cozumel island tour ends.

After snorkeling, the Cozumel island jeep tour itinerary varies depending on weather, time constraints and traffic congestion but always ends up making a full trip around the island. Guests will visit the Punta Sur Eco Beach Park to see the lagoon with its crocodile population, walk on the white sandy beach to a small Mayan ruin site and enjoy climbing to the top of the lighthouse for a beautiful panoramic photo opportunity. After leaving Punta Sur Eco Beach Park, guests get to see the breathtaking, remote beach areas on Cozumel's "wild side" and at one of these popular remote beach areas you'll stop for a taste of Mexico and enjoy making your own fajitas of delicious chicken, beef or fish.

This island jeep tour not only explores all of Cozumel's eastern coast where paved roads exist, but then continues on to traverse the island from east coast to west coast making a stop along the way at one of Cozumel's many tequilarias to sample and learn about how tequila is made before heading back into town and the heart of San Miguel. Your ultimate island jeep tour finishes at the hotel or pier area where your tour began.

For those with additional time and interest, the Mayan Ruins at San Gervasio can be one stop where you will enrich your knowledge of the mysterious Mayan culture. Normally the tour is about six (6) hours long but San Gervasio can be included provided guests have the additional 1.5 - 2 hours and are willing to pay the US $12.00 per person entrance fee.

Your Cozumel island jeep & snorkel tour really is an excellent overall tour, combining the best that Cozumel has to offer both above and below the water. This island tour sets itself apart by catering primarily to individual groups who are typically not in a rush or on a time clock, allowing a more relaxed, fun and leisurely pace. Hi Martin! Everything went flawlessly and Israel was a great guide and host. We had a great day. Thank you very much. C. Kemnitz - February 2016 ~ Hartland, WI USA

Hey Martin - Just to let you know, we had a good time on Cozumel and Israel was a great guide. He was energetic without being over the top, friendly without trying to be the best friend we have ever had, and guided us the whole time without any pushiness. He shared enough about life on the island for us to feel like he was really answering our questions and not parroting a standard spiel. I also liked he made an effort to keep us safe! He went out with us on the snorkel and kept an eye on everyone…especially our kids…and was careful about traffic, parking, and getting in and out of the van. Thanks for your help! G. Greenstreet - April 2016 ~ Chapel Hill, NC USA

We visited Cozumel on April 13, 2016 and very thoroughly enjoyed the private jeep tour with Israel. Israel was a great asset to the trip, knowledgeable of the island and its history, enjoyable to talk to and very focused on ensuring our jeep ride was a great one. You will enjoy this adventure! P. Rupp - April 2016 ~ Vancouver, WA USA
