As most travelers know, organized tours can really eat into a travel budget and typically there will be 10+ other travelers in a tour group so excursion itineraries are relatively structured and pre-planned. However, these organized tours are great fun and real adventures for less experienced travelers or those not familiar with Cozumel. But as more seasoned travelers know, sometimes it's just be nice to experience the island without spending a bunch of money or having every minute planned. It's also great to just get away from the crowds at times, too.
While Cozumel Insider always recommends planned excursions for those not familiar with Cozumel, we also recognize that frequent visitors to the island are eager to get off on their own and "wing it" a bit. Hello Sherri ~ I met you back in 2001 (12 years ago!) when my husband and I along with another couple were involved in a wreck and you were behind us and helped us out as to our rights in the matter. A motorcycle ran into the side of us pretty bad if you recall. I believe you said you lived in Addison, Texas like us. I have booked a trip and will be in Cozumel next Tuesday. Any recommendation on vehicle rental you can suggest for me? LATER: My date and I had a blast in Cozumel. He loved the island. It was a very short trip. I am including a photo of us on the cruise. We will be leaving tommorrow for 2 week stay at Islamar villas and diving with Dive Paradise. All of this along with a car rental was booked through you guys. Not only did you have a professional attitude through all the e-mails in booking the original dates but at the last minute I extended my stay. You and your staff were especially kind through all of this. You got the car extended and went way out of your way to make sure everything was taken care of, not to mention letting me borrow your personal roller bag to go to the market. You extended everything with ease and you are a great asset to Cozumel and Mexico. This will be my 12 th trip and I will never work with anyone else from now on. Thank you Sherri. Jack J. i've been on your site for the last week just checking everything out i'm telling you that you have the best site for learning about cozumel to all the execursions that are offered. also the information about how to get to the hotel from the airport with the cost about the ferry to every question that a person like myself would have that is planning on travelling to your beautiful country we are planning on retiring there. our family and myself will be arriving in cancun on december 5, 2008 and then going on to cozumel on december 6, 2008 we will be staying at the reef and then park royal but i printed out coupons and all the info about the ferry the ado bus and all the execursions we want to do . i'm lucky because i speak the language and i love to talk to people i would love to also get the pleasure of meeting with you which i'm sure i will since we plan on doing alot of your execursions. thank you for this beautiful site i enjoyed every minute i spend on it i look forward to hearing back from you! fanny janet bennett ~ belleriver ontario canada

Sherri, I was browsing Cozumel Websites the last few days. I came across yours. I have never found a website so detailed to a destination in my life! You supply all the information a traveler could ever want!
You give us how to get there, what to do while we are there, where to stay, how to travel, what to do if we get sick, where to eat, and it just goes on and on!
Thank you for taking the time that you spent in making this my new favorite site!
