Cozumel Dolphin Encounter |

In the Dolphin Encounter the focus is on allowing everyone to enjoy having a high degree of contact with the dolphins, and at the same time our trainers will teach you about these amazing animals.
Your adventure takes place in Chankanaab National Park and will start with a short educational orientation with one of our Dolphin Trainers where you will learn a little about the dolphin anatomy and some of its special features and then to the WATER!
You will enter the water by going down a set of stairs from our dock onto a submerged platform where you will remain for 25 – 30 minutes in waist-deep water. The Encounter starts with a kiss from an Atlantic-Bottle nosed dolphin that will be captured forever by a professional photographer and can be purchased afterward. The program will continue with a Swim-by, where you will get the chance to touch and pet the dolphins, a chance to learn about the anatomy of the dolphin and then on to some very special selected behaviors. The program is completed by giving each guest a chance to have some good quality time with the dolphin where you can ask the trainer any questions you may have about the dolphin.
Dolphin Discovery Cozumel is located in Chankanaab National Marine Park. As well as offering world class diving and snorkeling, this beautiful park houses our sea lion show, a botanical garden, reproductions of famous archeological sites, a typical Mayan village, an underground river, a tropical lagoon teeming with brightly colored tropical fish, restaurants and bars, and a dive shop. You will definitely want to allow time to enjoy the park either before or after your dolphin activity. |

There is no lower age limit for the Encounter program, however children 8 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult. Children below the age of 5 can partipate free of charge (with a paying adult).
HEALTH
Pregnant women may not participate in any of the dolphin or sea lion programs.
All dolphin activities are safe and interactive but require physical involvement by participants.
Participants should be in good general health and able to understand and follow directions as given by the dolphin trainers.
Those who have undergone an recent surgery or suffer from any condition that may limit them physically (i.e. back surgery) should check with their physician before proceeding to make a reservation. |

My daughter, 13 did the dolphin swim and it was the best time of her life.. up close and personal with scarlet.. the pictures were beautiful and the video wonderful.. this was a once in a life time event that she will remember for her entire life... well worth the 99.00 and the additional 75.00 for pics and video coverage.. if you can afford to do this, this is not to be missed.. it was the highlight of the entire vacation... go and have fun, well worth the cost and a lot of fun to be had. WONDERFUL TIME....

I just wanted to take a minute now that I am home to tell you how much we enjoyed the park and all the activities you helped me set up. The sea lion swim was amazing and the show following was really enjoyable. The dolphin swim didn't work out for all of us but we are planning to do the Disney cruise again one day and we will be back for sure. Secondly, we did the Royal Dolphin Swim with Dorie and Belle, and it was the most AWESOME time of our lives.
