Dune Buggy Island Tour |

The Dune Buggy Island Tour is one of Cozumel's finest eco-tours and is an adventure to treasure forever. This trip is taken in recycled VW dune buggies that are fabricated right here in Cozumel by the owners of this tour provider.
With open-air, roll bar tops and big fat wheels, these dune buggies are custom made by the owners to provide a day of adventure. Enjoy the thrill of driving up the beachfront highway to a great snorkel area, then heading on to El Cedral, the oldest town in Cozumel for more adventure, then continue to the "wild side" other side of the island for a lunch break and great photo ops before heading back to town. Giving you a real taste of the whole island of Cozumel.
A tour guide will prepare the dune buggies, pack some delicious healthy snacks as well as a Mexican style picnic lunch to enjoy. And the guide will also bring along plenty of refreshments and beer to keep everyone hydrated on the island journey. You will see small ruins, both coastlines, pristine reefs, and occasionally encounter local wildlife. An awesome all-day, fun-filled adventure for the whole family to enjoy!
NOTE: For many years, all of the "island/jungle tours" left town via highway and made their way to one particular stretch of Cozumel's beachfront roadway that was not paved with asphalt. This is where all of the tours had their "off road" portions of the tour. However, this several mile stretch of gravel road was washed out and severely damaged in 2005 by the hurricanes so NONE of the dune buggy tour providers are able to use this area now. As a result, most all are simply "island tours" now rather than "jungle or off road" adventures even though the vehicles are built to endure the sand and limestone passageways that eek through the most remote areas of Cozumel. |

Snorkel gear can be rented prior to departure. |
| Restrictions: |
- If a person is not familiar with driving a stick shift, we do not want them to learn the day-of!
A driver can be provided for the day for an extra fee of $35 US dollars. Advance notice required!!
- If the person without stick shift experience prefers to
drive their own automatic vehicle, they can request a
Tracker or Jeep for an additional $60 US dollars per car.
Dune Buggies seat 4 persons, however whenever
possible and if space allows we try to accommodate couples
with their own buggies.
Please note that this cannot be
guaranteed, Dune Buggy Tours reserves the right to put
four persons per buggy. |

I felt like a kid again! So cool tooling along the beach. It was just pure heaven. We visited the most remote places. Afterwards we went to Palmar and had Happy Hour out on the most beautiful beach front and watched the sunset. We also saw some of the most beautiful sites when we visited the lagoon.
